- The objective of this assignment is to assess current condition and readiness of Ethiopia-s electricity distribution sector regarding its availability and use of digital infrastructure (software and hardware) to inform the World Bank-s advisory work in this field. The selected consultant firm should provide analytics to the World Bank on digitalization opportunities across the distribution sector in key business areas such as electricity supply to customers, commercial functions, grid management, and planning and management of corporate resources, to provide a systematic overview of state-of-art IT applications to optimize cost efficiency, reliability of electricity services, transparency and accountability in operations. The assessment should also capture cybersecurity posture assessment, data governance, evidence-based evaluation of digital ID system integration, infrastructure resiliency, and disaster recovery capabilities.
