An engineering consulting firm (Consultant) is sought to evaluate the feasibility of a water system with the following elements: • An intake on the Shebelle River near Gode, approximately 15 km north of Adadle • Water Treatment Plant (WTP) • Water Transmission Pipelines • Booster Pump Station • Storage Tanks • Water Distribution Systems (piping and distribution points) The successful consultant will have expertise and experience with projects of similar size, scope and complexity with specialized capabilities in the following areas: • Civil design and project management • Water treatment, water quality, processes, Slow Sand Filtration (SSF) in particular, and hydraulic design • Water resources, intake design, and flood frequency analysis • Mechanical, electrical and instrumentation design for WTP facilities • Geology, hydrogeology, hydrology and geotechnical engineering • Surveying of facilities and transmission pipelines • Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) for facilities and transmission pipelines
