• Expression of Interest are invited for Provision of Interior Renovation Works of Gymnasium in Uneca, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The design needs to review and evaluate the existing facility and floor plan (with appropriate site visit arranged) and develop the schematic layout on figure 4 into a working drawing. The existing facility's floor plan (which will be provided by FMS) should be checked by the service provider for its accuracy in measurement and correcting the data provided is the full responsibility of the service provider. The scope of the design work includes but not limited to; The men and women wet areas to have 5 shower rooms each. And the men toilet area to have one WC and two urinals and that of the women to have two WCs as indicated on the layout. The new women's shower, changing and toilet areas be located on the far left side (as indicated on figure 4- proposed layout) The new men's wet area (shower, changing and toilet) be located where the existing women's shower, changing and toilet area is (as indicated on figure 4- proposed layout) All wet areas (shower rooms, toilet rooms and changing rooms) to have new ceramic/porcelain wall and floor A physiotherapy room of about 13mt.sq. to be included as indicated on the layout Acoustic consideration in physiotherapy in consultation with the client's representative) Aerobics area to be on the far right side as in the layout (with mirrors to make the space look wider) The middle part, in between the wet areas and the aerobics area, to be the weightlifting and the machine and treadmill area as indicated on the layout The main access to the facility to be next to the new men's toilet as indicated as "entrance on the layout. The existing windows do not bring in enough ventilation and therefore the design should include forced ventilation to boost the ventilation of the gym 357mt.sq. area of ceiling to be PVC or a good quality of a similar material of equivalent price. Adequate lighting to be provided in all areas. Sanitary, electrical and mechanical design works should be in compliance with the existing systems and should be done in close consultation and also approval of professionals of the client representative A complete set of design of a solar panel with electrical and mechanical systems for the solar water heater Identify any risk or safety issues or hazardous areas in the existing structure The design needs to incorporate or make use of materials, fixtures and/or equipment that can be salvaged from the existing facility. The below table shows the materials/items that will be provided by the client representative for the service provider's usage in the design and construction. Any other material needed for this project other than the ones listed in the table below should be provided by the contractor. All wet areas (toilets, shower rooms, changing rooms) to have new ceramic or porcelain floor and wall tiles (preferably porcelain if available on the market) with the below listed specifications/properties. Samples to be provide to the client's representative for approval.
