• Expression of Interest are invited for Provision of Translation Service of the Alternative Childcare Directive (ACD). Bethany Christina Services invites Service Providers for the provision of translation service. Bethany is partnering with the Ministry of Women, Children and Youth (MoWCY) in developing a comprehensive Alternative Childcare Directive at Federal level to help standardize and regulate services provided to children and families at national level. The organization seeks to translate the English Alternative Childcare Directive draft to Amharic within one month time frame. The document to be translated is a legally binding document containing details on five alternative childcare services; Community-Based Care, Reunification and Reintegration, Foster Care, Adoption and Residential Care services. The final translated draft will be tabled for child welfare stakeholder-s feedback and validation which latter be submitted to MoWCY management and Attorney General for approval. Qualifications Prospective service providers must demonstrate: · The service provider must be able to provide CVs of two or more translators who would be undertaking the job if selected. The translators should have a minimum of university degree and a certification or qualification in translation. · The translators involved in the task must be very fluent in both English and Amharic and able to prove themselves if required. · A proven track record of providing translation services of similar national standard documents. · Have a minimum of Five (5) years- experience of providing translations services preferably within child welfare sector. · Familiar with alternative childcare context in Ethiopia. · A capability to provide high quality translation of the English Alternative Childcare Directive draft to Amharic within the given period. · Clearly demonstrate their capability to provide high quality translation of the document in a clearly, in coherence with original text and context of alternative childcare services. · Clearly demonstrate their capacity to meet the translation volumes within given specified times.
